Voyage au coeur du Soufisme de Chefchaouen

Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer que nous avons reçu une subvention de la Fondation HIVOS pour retourner au Maroc et faire évoluer notre travail. Nous n’allons pas tout dévoiler, mais ce que nous pouvons vous dire jusqu’à présent, c’est que le projet va:

  • avoir lieu à Chefchaouen, au Maroc, en automne 2019

  • tourner autour du travail magnifique et important de Rhoum Bakkali et de son groupe de femmes soufies

  • inclure une formation de trois semaines en réalisation cinématographique à un groupe de résidents de Chefchaouen qu’on appellera “cinéastes locaux en formation (CLEF)” (lien pour postuler ci-dessous)

  • culminer par un événement à Chefchaouen où seront projetés les mini-documentaires des CLEF, ainsi que des performances musicales en direct du groupe de Rhoum Bakkali et une performance de vidéos remixées par HAT

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a grant from the HIVOS Foundation to return to Morocco and take our work to the next level. We won’t give it all away, but what we can share with you so far is that the project will:

  • take place in Chefchaouen, Morocco in the Fall of 2019

  • revolve around the beautiful and important work of Rhoum Bakkali and her all-women’s Sufi ensemble

  • include a 3-week filmmaking training for a select group of aspiring filmmakers from Chefchaouen (application below)

  • culminate in an event in Chefchaouen where the aspiring filmmakers’ mini-documentaries will be screened, as well as live music performances by Rhoum Bakkali and a live remix performance by HAT
