About The Artist

Araceli Poma, Cultural Ambassador, Singer, and 2X Latin Grammy Nominee, blends cultural richness with contemporary sounds, celebrating Afro and Indigenous cultures within Peru's diverse musical landscape. Born and raised in Peru, she passionately advocates for women in music and promotes the Quechua language inherited from her grandparents. Araceli's art bridges cultures and integrates diverse indigenous communities in New York City. Her music and documentaries, including "The Sacred Leaf" and "The Warrior Women of Afro-Peruvian Music," address issues of racism and sexism through the power of music and African diaspora culture.
